The first step in Camwatch's crime prevention service is ensuring that CCTV imagery is captured in the most appropriate, secure and effective way for our customer's premises - using the very best in available technology.What comes next is at the heart of all we do ... and that revolves around our state-of-the-art national monitoring and control centre.
In summary, it works like this:
- The customer's CCTV system is always recording.
- If an intruder triggers a perimeter alarm via infra-red or video motion detection.pan-tilt-zoom cameras focus on the area where activity triggered the sensor(s).
- The alarm is received at the Camwatch national control room. Both live and recorded images can be reviewed by our highly trained staff to determine the cause of the alarm. Any intruders are challenged through the Camwatch public address system on site.
- In many instances, the suspect(s) will make a rapid exit without damage or theft.
- If necessary, the Camwatch operator scrambles a response team from the local police force or another security agency.
- All activities are reported to the client’s nominated contacts
